Executive Board meeting

Charlie Cleland took two Alacosta engines in to a mechanic to be serviced. The cost was $395.02. The mechanic suggested regular maintenance that before <emphasis>and</emphasis> after every dive, the outboard engines should be greased at all 3 fittings. After every dive, the powerhead should be sprayed with WD-40 everywhere but the carburetor.

Bill McDowell purchased a new anchor for our inflatables, since one anchor is missing an anchor. Bill will also purchase two new fire extinguishers before the Catalina trip.

A committee composed of Rocky Rockafellow, Bill McDowell and Mike Daily will propose designs and production for a club T-shirt; the proposal will be brought back to the executive board for approval.

There was extensive discussion regarding the roster and how often it should be updated. As provided in the new bylaws, updating the Roster is the responsibility of the Treasurer. Kevin Dalley and John Purnell will meet and determine a protocol for a web-based privacy protected roster.

There was discussion, tabled for a future meeting, regarding the percentage of insurance costs that should be born by the Catalina trip.

It was moved seconded and approved to authorize payment of the general liability insurance premium now due.

It was moved, seconded and approved to authorize Kevin to purchase various miscellaneous items for the boats, that were identified as needed at the recent boat party. An extra Zodiac valve wrench will be purchased so that each Zodiac dry box will have a valve wrench.
