Kevin Dalley volunteered Peter Lasell to look at
and possibly buy valve wrenches at Tim's Zodiac Marine in Fremont.
The T-Shirt Committee will be meeting soon to discuss a design for
club T-shirts.
- The Orinda Library meeting room has been reserved for general meetings through August of 2004.
- If someone took a gear hook with one of the boats it belongs to Mike Daily and he would appreciate getting it back.
- Jim and Rennie Kirby will be hosting the December holiday party at their home in Oakland on Saturday, December 13th. Details will follow, but Alacostans should mark their calendars, and be there!
- It was moved, seconded and passed unanimously to renew the honorary memberships for Jim and Rennie Kirby, in appreciation of all of their efforts on behalf of the club.
- The October Eboard meeting and installation of new officers will be held at Bernie and Lib Ann Cappelli's home in Orinda on Monday, October 20th. All Alacostans are welcome to attend.
- There was discussion regarding whether Alacosta should be listed in the California Diving News Calendar of Club Activities, which requires a contact phone number. It was suggested that when a new Membership Coordinator is elected in October, that s/he should be asked whether they are willing to have their phone number listed as a contact number.
- The November Eboard Meeting will be held on Monday, November 17th at Gary Schleimer's home, 17055 Broadway Terrace, Oakland.
- Gary will bring a TV/VCR to the October meeting for planned entertainment and will let John Beland know if he can't bring it.
- Rocky volunteered to Chair Catalina 2004; which he plans to attend.
- It was moved, seconded and passed to authorize Kevin Dalley to purchase additional gas cans for the club on Ebay, in order to be able to transfer unused gas to cans intended for storage.
- Kevin D would like feedback on the design of the website; contact him.
- There was discussion regarding the request of a 16 year old boy whose parents don't dive, to participate in club activities. The request was made by the boy's mother. It was agreed that he was welcome at club meetings, but that club by-laws required his parents or legal guardians to be present if he were to go on a club dive.

election.
