Gary Schleimer chaired the dive.
Steve Smith and Kathy Foster showed up for the
first dive, while John Beland, Bill McDowell,
Rob Vermeulen, and Kevin Dalley managed two dives
in the
water. The visibility was nearly 30 feet.
Janet Myers also managed two dives with her buddy, though
the rest of Alacosta's divers didn't see her until after their first
dive.
The Alacostans dove in Whaler's Cove, without a boat. The dives included a variety of gigantic rockfish, male and female sheephead, a leopard shark, and an occasional ling cod. Large rose anemones, white-spotted rose anemones and many species of nudibranches covered the rocks. Ringed nudibranches, individuals and breeding pairs, were common.
