Roy Benedict and Charlie Cleland brought in two of our 25 HP Mercury engines to Alameda to be repaired. The engine previously stored at Susan Carter's house cost $86.74 to repair. The engine stored at the Cappelli's warehouse required some carburetor repair and timing work. This engine cost $235.50 to repair. The total for these engines was substantially less than the $700.00 maximum per engine which the executive board approved.
Meanwhile, Jack Cash repaired our newly purchased 25 HP engine, which is 19 years old. This engine had a perforation in the fuel pump diaphragm. Jack had the help of Rocky Rockafellow's precision, calibrated, metric crescent wrench. This repair was also quite cheap.
John Kelly has purchased a new propeller for our 20 HP Mercury, which cost around $90.
With all of these repairs, we have 5 working engines.
