Eating was real good...location is secret, but will give Alacostans a hint, it's somewhere up the coast north of Salt Point and the club's ace ab hunter reports good takes in shallow water, mostly female (but then Rick's always been a lady charmer anyway!), ab hunt was Sept. 17 and deliciously successful...

Ft. Ross on October 14

Bill McDowell chaired a scuba dive to Ft. Ross on Saturday, October 14. Visibility was nearly 10 feet. With careful diving, the buddy teams were able to stay together throughout the dive. Steve Smith made a special appearance. Abalone were found and admired at 35-40 feet. They were just waiting to be picked. Unfortunately, Alacosta divers decided to leave them waiting and travel north for the abalone dive.

After the scuba dive, we traveled to south Gerstle at Salt Point for abalone. Tom Whitaker and Kevin Dalley provided beach support for John and Vicki Beland and Steve Smith. A few legal abalone were found
