Talk to the dive chairs early. Please sign up in advance. All people
who sign up are responsible for fees at the dive. People who don't
sign up for the dive may be excluded from the dive and shunned for
life. On camping trips, each diver is responsible for finding its own
campsites. The chair will attempt to organize campsites, but no
guarantees can be made.

Canoe trip down Russian River, May 22
John Beland will lead a canoe and kayak trip down the
Russian River. Aluminum canoes for 2 or single kayaks or available
for rent. Kayaks are ~$30, and canoes are about $35. The rental
company is Trowbridge Recreation in Healdsburg (1-800-640-1386). You
can call them and make a reservation, or drop John a line and he will
make the reservation. Either way, drop John a line, so he will know
who is coming, and can give out details when the time gets closer.
The Blurb just received information about squid from Ernie
Lavagetto. The original mail was sent by Bob Kent
(KentRJ@email.msn.com).
I talked with Capt. Phil last weekend -- still no squid here yet.
It is time to get organized though. The dive is scheduled for Friday,
21st of May at 7:30 on the Cypress Point. It is a single dive,
$60.00. We pay Phil, so do not sign up through Cypress Charters or
the dive shop. I would like to get a firm commitment from those who
are going to do it so I can let Phil know how many. A week or so
before the dive, I will collect the money so we can pay Phil in one
payment (assuming there are squid). If you're not sure you can go,
don't tell me you will - we need firm commitments.
Please pass this along to those who you know are interested, and let me know
within a week or so.
