Alacosta may purchase the Internet domain name alacosta.org. This allows us to have a web site at http://www.rahul.net/kevind/
alacosta and to use alacosta.org for email, including an Alacosta mailing list.

The setup costs for alacosta.org are:

2 year registration of alacosta.org	$70
domain service for email	$40
direct domain url	$75

After the first two years, there is a $35/year registration fee for the use of alacosta.org.

The executive board recommended that this issue be voted on at the March general meeting.

John Kelly did some research on the Alacosta club members with email addresses. There are now thirty-seven (37) club members who have or share an e-mail address. In the 1980s there were a handful of addresses. In 1997, it jumped to eleven. In 1998, it doubled to twenty-two. John projects that there will be forty-four members having an e-mail address by the end of 1999.
