Gerstle Cove dive a washout
Gary Schleimer chaired a dive to Gerstle Cove at Salt Point on
Saturday, March 13. Unfortunately, the dive was canceled due to excessive
waves.
On Saturday, April 6, Kevin Dalley dove at Puerto Rico on
his way to look for extraterrestrial intelligence. He visited
Palaminto Island and Gypsy Reef. While the diving was somewhat murky
by tropical standards, the visibility at least 50 feet. A collection
of coral, parrotfish, and miscellaneous other creatures was easily
evaded with the use of corrective lenses in his mask.
Puerto Rican men seem to appreciate long hair. During the dark Puerto
Rican night, Kevin listened to the constant calls of the nearsighted
from passing vehicles.
