Subsections
The Executive Board discussed Catalina issues. The board decided
against placing a limit on the number of people going to Catalina,
though with more than 50 people going this year,
it will be crowded.
The Executive Board discussed the value of Cen Cal. The board could
not reach agreement on whether Cen Cal has any value,
but they are willing to consider suggestions.
The Executive Board formed a committee to suggest methods of
increasing diver safety at Alacosta trips.
The Executive Board meeting was exciting this month.
The board made and suggested a number of changes to the standing rules.
The Executive Board changed Article I, section 1 of the bylaws,
from:

- The principal office of the Corporation is hereby fixed and located
at Mosswood Recreation Center, 3612 Webster Street, Oakland,
California 94611.
to:
- 1.
- The principal office of the Corporation is hereby fixed and located
at 1921 Gaspar Dr., Oakland,
California 94611.
This is the address of John Beland and Janet Parkins.
Changes to the Standing Rules require approval by a
vote of the
members present at a general meeting,
or a majority of the members present if the change was published in
the Blurb.
The Executive Board suggested the following changes to Standing Rules,
article IX of the bylaws:
Recommended for deletion:
Section 1. Meetings
- c.
- Resolved, that the Corporation shall hold at least one swimming pool
meeting each month except October.
These meetings shall be open to all categories of membership and
their guests.
- d.
- Resolved, that no action which is contrary to the rules and
regulations of the Oakland Recreation Department may be taken by
this corporation.
Section III. Member's Privileges & Rights
- C.
- Resolved, that a staff member of the Oakland Recreation Department
will be an ex-officio member of the Corporation and may attend any
corporation meeting.

- Resolved, that upon dissolution of the Corporation, all monies
after payment of outstanding debts will be distributed to the
Oakland Recreation Department per the Articles of Incorporation,
